Rehabs in Maryland

Rehabs in Maryland Privacy Notice

The scope of this privacy notice

This notice explains how we handle information when you contact us about Maryland rehabs or use our free helpline. We do not provide treatment or make diagnoses. The helpline is answered by trained intake advisors who coordinate with licensed centers. When you share information with us, we want you to understand what we collect, why we collect it, and how it gets used.

In brief: we gather only what is needed to help you find suitable care, we never sell your health information, and we pass your details to treatment providers only when you request a connection. Our free helpline is answered by treatment advisors working with licensed providers across Maryland, and it stays confidential and commits you to nothing.

What details we collect

When you call or submit a form, we may collect your name, phone number, and optional details such as insurance information and a brief description of your situation. We collect this information so we can connect you with rehabs in Maryland that match your needs, and so we can follow up if you ask us to. You can choose not to share any optional information, and you can still receive general guidance.

We may also collect technical information such as the date and time of your call, the number you called from, and the length of the call. If you provide insurance details, then we can check which of the 292 facilities listed by SAMHSA as accepting private insurance might fit your situation. We do not ask for your Social Security number, and we do not collect financial account information.

Why we collect it and how we use it

The information you share helps us understand what kind of care you are looking for, where you are located, and what payment options might work for you. We use it to answer your questions, to suggest rehabs in Maryland that may be a good fit, and to connect you with providers when you request it. We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell it.

If you ask to be connected to a treatment provider, we will share your name, phone number, and the details you choose to share with that provider so they can follow up. When you request a connection, then we share only the details you agree to share with the provider you choose. If you do not ask to be connected, we do not share your information with treatment providers.

Call recording and monitoring

Calls to our helpline may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance and training. At the start of the call, you will hear a notice if recording is taking place. If you prefer not to be recorded, you can ask the advisor to stop recording, and the call can continue without it. When a call is recorded, then the recording is used only for quality and training and is handled with the same confidentiality as other information.

How long we retain information

We keep call records and the information you provide for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize the information. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so unless we are required to keep it by law. If you ask us to delete your information, then we will remove it from our active records within a reasonable time, unless a legal hold applies.

When we share information

We pass your information to treatment providers only once you ask us to connect you with them. We might also share information with service providers who assist us in running the helpline, like phone systems or data storage companies, but solely under contracts obligating them to safeguard your information. We never sell your health information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

We might disclose information when the law requires it, for instance in response to a court order or to prevent serious harm. We never sell health information, and we do not share it with marketers or advertisers. Should you have questions about how your information is shared, feel free to ask the advisor during your call.
